Can a couple survive if one is a "3" and the other a "9"?

Yea, I've seen couples like that, too. It does make you wonder. It's one thing when one is so much more attractive than the other, but it's even worse when like you described, the homely one is a nag or just plain mean and ornery. I doubt if having kids could make a woman who was a 9 or 10 descend to a 3 on the rating scale, lol! I just wonder what makes anyone settle for someone who has such a rotten personality and looks to match. I don't really have an answer to that one. Maybe the guy is shy and unconfident around women. Poor guy!
