Dying brown hair purple without bleaching?

I want to dye my deep brown hair with red tones a rich purple. I've used manic panic's After Midnight Blue before and really liked it. It lasted for months, but it just made my hair look very blue/black. I can't bleach my hair because it's chemical straightened, but it is slightly pre-lightened. I just want something that is noticeable, but not overbearing. I'm leaning towards Ultra Violet or Lie Locks. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
