Do children with aspergers get on alot better with other children?

that also have the same condition just curious. my son is in the middle of an essment but all his developmentals are spot on bar his writing is not good or colouring.cant ride a bike and cant fasten on or zippers. hes quite intelligent but clumsy alot. he has nearly every sensory issue on a daily basis from noise to taste to feel of clothes and object to smell.he has repetitive routines daily that can drive a carer mad but iv explained all this to the ped and she was half listening and in the middle of me telling her turned round and started talking to a colleague,zero interest. his peadiatrician done a developemental exam on him with colours,blocks,puzzles,pictures and he was super with them all and as far as she was concerned he is a great lad even a bit advanced. what gives? im so confused as a parent but them again i live in ireland not much does be done here.
