Should i be worried about my relationship?

It kinda sounds like it was an add on, like he wanted to sound like he wasn't whipped or whatever. I know plenty of guys who say stuff like that (around their girlfriends as well) when they don't mean it, they just want to look 'cool' in front of their friends or to other people. If stuff with you guys is still good, and this was an old message, I'd just let it go.
