Does everyone qualify for WIC?

i live in il to and just had a daughter, no not everyone gets it i was told that the income can not be no more than 27,000.. and i make over that so i was told upfront that i do not qualify, wic supplies the pregnant mother with milk and cheese juice for the duration of the pregnancy when baby is born you will get formula and when baby is old enough you will get eggs cheese peanut er etc etc again, i know this because it makes me mad that i know people that are scamming the system ( yeah thay semi need it but could afford it if they had to) good luck you can always go to kidscare.gov for more info about the programs in il
