I own a Glock 23C, is it possible to turn that into a 23?

WHat I mean by this is are the slides and barrels of the Glock 23C and Glock 23 interchangable. I enjoy the compensated for the reduced recoil which allows me to line up my next shot faster, but in the night, the gases that are emitted though the barrel and silde holes are quite bright and might interfer with my ability to line up for my next shot in a defensive effort. IS this possible, and if there is any Glock 23C owners out there, is the flash really that bright in low light situations?
