Does he sound legit?

I know this is childish, but I've been dating my boyfriend for 6 months. He is 22 and I am 19. He is mr. Hollister boy, but a total nerd at heart, and I am your clic college artist. (red hair, ears pierced 10 times, Skater shoes... etc.) I don't really get why he is with me. We are totally opposites, but we never fight and we get along better than any other couple we know. I let him go to the bars, and he lets me go to my stupid frat parties and such, a very uncontrolling relationship. So needless to say, I fell for him HARD. The other night I was trying to tell him how I felt and he stopped me and said he knew what I was going to say. Then said that I was going to say what he wanted to to tell me everytime he said goodbye to me. But then explained that Im young still... and I shouldn't get too wrapped up just yet altho he can see us together for a looong time. I don't know if he really is trying to protect me, or if he doesn't mean it. I know its stupid, but Im in love.
