How will the mexicans take back the southwestern USA, willl it be thru war or will we just give it to them?

they want it back, if you deny that, then continue to bury your head in the sand. how will it happen? some kind of military action after the US military has depleted itself in worthless overseas conflicts? or will congress and the president just give it to them?
