Would you be upset if you had a deformity and some1 gave you a book saying God wants you to be atractive? ?

the book was called simplicity. I guess the person felt that since I was in college that I would take more heed to it. It said "God wants you to be attractive to marry somebody. however doing something intentionally for the admiration of others is not Christianlike" I was offened and started to cry. Was I wrong. There is no possible way for me to be attractive due to my abnormality
